What I do

I specialize in bringing a cinematic yet unobtrusive approach to documentary films, non-scripted television and branded campaigns. The bulk of my career has been spent shooting with lean crews, sometimes as a one man band, and I’m comfortable working as a DP, directing, or juggling multiple hats as is often the case.

I own a complete Sony FX6 camera package w/ a full range of Sony zooms, Leica primes and a Sennheiser audio kit. I’m also a Part 107 FAA certified drone pilot and Mavic 3 Cine owner/operator. I have a variety of camera and lighting packages available to be curtailed to each project accordingly.

WHO I AM

I grew up in Puerto Rico and majored in film at UC Santa Cruz. I’ve worked on a variety of documentaries, unscripted television, and branded campaigns both as a cinematographer and director. In 2024 I won a Primetime Emmy Award for cinematography for my work on National Geographic’s “Life Below Zero.” Pussywillow Dirtbags, a feature film I directed and shot, won “Best Locally Produced Work” at the Santa Cruz film festival. On my free time I enjoy surfing and spending time with my wife and daughter.
